PHNOM PENH: The future Prime Minister of Cambodia, Dr. Hun Manet, congratulated his wife, future First Lady Pich Chanmony, on leading the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC) to win the bid to host the 39th World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Conference in 2026.

"Finally, my boss made it!" Hun Manet wrote on his social media account, congratulating his wife with the nickname they’ve given each other.

He also commended the GGAC for its hard work towards the brilliant achievement for their country on the international stage.

He also thanked all Cambodians who participated in supporting Cambodia's online candidacy for Cambodia's success.

Pich Chanmony responded to the post and thanked her husband for always supporting and encouraging her.

Under the combined efforts of Commissioner Pich Chanmony and the GGAC, Cambodia will proudly host the 39th WAGGGS Conference in 2026. She led a delegation of the GGAC to attend the 38th World Women's Scout Conference in Cyprus from July 26-31, 2023, where they showed pride and readiness to host the next conference in 2026 in Siem Reap, home of Cambodia’s World Heritage Site Angkor Wat.
